Vocal Workshop
In Week 1, we held a Vocal Workshop for all students interested in developing their vocal
talents. We were extremely fortunate to have guest teacher Stephanie Acraman spend
time with our students, teaching them new vocal techniques and exercises. Stephanie’s
extensive career includes being a successful solo artist, performances with the NZ Opera,
Head of Voice/Performance at the Waikato University Conservatorium of Music, teaching
at the Adelaide Conservatorium of Music, and she has a Masters degree in Voice.
On Wednesday of Week 4, our Primary students were among 2,359,147 students around Australia who participated in National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS). Each class read the featured book, ‘Bowerbird Blues’, by Aura Parker, and took part in an activity related to the story.
At lunchtime, students became collectors of all things BLUE with a scavenger hunt around the College and blue-themed activities in the library.
NSS is an important annual campaign that aims to encourage young children to read and enjoy books, as well as teach them the value of literacy.
