Our Little Sprouts enjoy visits to the library each week.
In Week 6 we read the book ‘Rainbow Days’ by Margaret
Hamilton, and then made our own beautiful rainbows.
We learned about the seven days of the week, and the
seven colours of the rainbow.

This year, a group of Year 11 students (including myself) had the privilege of participating in the Vetamorphus course. Vetamorphus is a nationally recognised Christian leadership program tailored for senior secondary students. It is meticulously crafted for those who seek to engage with and enhance their understanding of the Christian faith through tangible, experiential learning. It is a year-long course that enables Year 11 and 12 students to grow in their Christian life, and gain SACE credits at the same time.
Recently we completed the second of three required retreats, hosted at the YHA. The retreat was a remarkable experience, marked by insightful presentations from the Green Team, Mustard, and other Christian organisations. They imparted invaluable lessons on reflecting God’s mission and vision for our lives in the world.
On the second day of the retreat, each participant was invited to contribute $20 towards a city blessing initiative. Eager to make a difference, Jesse, Sara, and I decided to spread kindness by distributing beanies, socks, and Subway wraps. This act not only left a positive impact on the community, but also enabled us to find perspective in our lives, and encouraged us to humble ourselves.
Throughout the retreat, Jesse’s unwavering enthusiasm and Sara’s thought-provoking conversations served as constant sources of inspiration. Their dedication to helping others and fostering meaningful connections deeply resonated with all of us.
On reflection, the retreat
was a transformative
experience that prompted
us to reassess our
actions and deepen our understanding of God’s mission for us. As we
continue on our journey, let us remain steadfast
in our commitment to
embodying His love and spreading kindness in our community.
