ProvidingNewsandViewsformorethan30yearsFoxPharmacy,HGHair&Page21theRennieGrovePeaceCharityShop.THEPARISHOFPENNSTREETWITHHOLMERGREENAfter another successful Cream Teas season, it%u2019s time to look forward to all our Christmas activities.The first one will be the Christmas Tree Festival, on Saturday, 7th December from 10am-4pm in the Church Centre, Holmer Green.There will be trees decorated by local groups, refreshments andcraftfor children,butgrown-ups can participatetoo.If anyonewouldliketo bookaspaceforatree,pleasecontactRobertDuerdoth,emailduerdoth2@icloud.comormobile 07859 411 708.There%u2019s no charge.The details for the other Christmas activities and services are on the %u2018WHAT%u2019S ON %u2026 AND WHERE%u2019 page.Briefly they are Christingles and Carols by Candlelight on 15th December, Carols by Candlelight on 22nd December, Crib Service on 24th December, Midnight Communion on 24th DecemberandChristmasMorningService.MoreinformationisgiveninRevDaf%u2019sarticleelsewhere in the magazine.Thealterationstodatesover theChristmasperiodaregivenwithinthesectionsregardingour different groups.For instance, we will only have one Souper Lunch in December on Thursdaythe 12thanditwillbeour Christmassoupwithmincepiesandstollen.Therewillbeachoice of other soup for those who do not want the Christmas soup.We will start again on the 9th of January followed by the 23rd.WehadaspecialCommunityCafesharedwithMacmillanCoffeeMorningonSeptember28thand raised over %u00a3750 for this worthy charity.We will continue with our Cafe meeting on the fourth Saturday each month in the Church Centre, meeting again in November with a break in Decemberas there are so many other events.We will start again on 25th January followed by anotherspecial fund-raising event for Rennie Grove Peace Hospice in February 2025.Come and join us for a hot drink and a biscuit and good company.TheChurchesTogetherWomen'sFellowshipenjoyedalovelyHarvestLunchatthebeginningof October.Our meeting on 21st November will be a quiz at the Baptist Church at 2pm.On 5th December we shall have our Christmas Lunch at The Spindle and Thread in High Wycombe -booking required -and the 19th December will be our Carol Service at the Church Centre.We meet on the first and third Thursdays in the Christ Church Centre or the Baptist Church, usually at 2 pm, and all ladies are welcome.Babies,toddlers,underschoolagechildren&their carersarewelcometojoinTiddlywinkson Mondays1.30pm-3pmintheChurchCentre.Nobookingisrequiredandmeetingsaretermtime only.ThistermendsonMonday16thDecember,withaPuppetNativity,andour ChristmasParty,at the usual time and the new term begins Monday 6th January 2025.For more information ring Joan Toye, 01494 718466, or the other contacts listed below.
