AT A GLANCE
• It is simultaneously true that 50% of NASA employees, and 85% of prison inmates, are
dyslexic. What we do with dyslexic students now determines their life trajectory.
• In the southeast United States, students with disabilities only graduate at a rate of 23%,
compared to a state-wide rate of nearly 80%. DePaul School of Northeast Florida has
a 100% High School Graduation rate for students finishing our program since 2016.
• 27% of our students are ethnically diverse.
• 40% of our students qualified for financial aid due to having low-income households.
• 96% of our students qualify for state funding assistance under “unique abilities”.
• Over 92% of our dyslexic students have gained a full years’ worth of reading ability
or more, each school year, since 2016. We are often able to catch up on a few years’
worth of reading delay if caught early enough.
