                                                  1906.

                              W ED N ESD A Y, FE B . 14TH. 10 A. M.

                     P r e s id e n t S t r o n g : Ladies and Gentlemen, companions
                and friends:
With pleasure I extend to you a welcome to the First An
nual Convention of the National Supply and Machinery Dealers’
                Association.
We have met to renew and increase our acquaintance with
each other and plan for our common welfare, and I trust that at
the close of our meeting we may go our several ways feeling
that it has been both pleasant and profitable for us to be here,
and that we have each of us only to put into the work of this
Association a fraction of the energy and persistence which has
made our own businesses successful, to build up an organization
which shall be of incalculable benefit to us as dealers in supplies
                and machine tools.
There seems to be some little misunderstanding, or there
docs not seem to be a full understanding. This meeting is in
tended to be an open one to everybody, and anybody who wishes
                to come is welcome.
