                       The  Convention  will  join  in  singing  “America.”
                       1 he  members  of  the  Convention  and  their  guests  joined  in
                 singing  the  following  verses:

                                    "M y  country  ’tis  of  thee
                                         Sweet  land  of  liberty
                                     O f  thee  I  sing
                                         Land  where  my  fathers  died
                                     Land  of  the  Pilgrims’  pride
                                         From  every  mountain  side
                                     Let  freedom  ring.

                                     My  native  country  thee
                                         Land  of  the  noble  free
                                     Thy  name  I  love
                                         I  love  thy  rocks  and  rills
                                     Thy  woods  and  templed  hills
                                        My  heart  with  rapture  thrills
                                     Like  that  above.”

                      P r e s id e n t  S t r o n g :   1  now  have the  pleasure  of introducing
                 to  you  Rev.  Charles  S.  Walklev,  Chaplain  Artillery  Corps  U.  S.
                 Army,  who  will  lead  us  in  prayer.
                      R ev.  .Mr.  W alki.e y :   O,  almighty  and  everlasting  God,
                 our  Heavenly  Father,  we  give  Thee  hearty  thanks  at  this  time
                 for  all  the  mercy  bestowed  upon  us,  for  our  individual  health,
                 for  friends  and  homes,  and  for  all. the  intercourse  we  have  with
                 those  we  love  and  esteem.
                      We  bless  Thy  Holy  Name  for  the  prosperity  of  our  land,
                 and  that  this  great  nation,  in  peace  and  harmony,  holds  her  place
                 this  day  111  honor  among  the  nations  of  the  earth.
                      We  beseech  Thee,  O,  Lord,  to  direct  the  officers  and  mem­
                 bers  of  this  Association  now  assembled,  in  all  their  doings  with
                 Thv  most  gracious  favor,  and  do  Thou  further  them  with  Thy
                 continual  help  that  with  all  their  works  begun,  continued  and
                 ended  in  Thee  they  may  glorify  Thy  Holy  Name  through  Jesus
                 Christ  our  Lord.    Amen.
