                      P r e sid e n t S t r o n g : There is an announcement on the pro
gram for tomorrow afternoon at four o'clock at which time we
hope to meet all the manufacturers who favor us with their pres
ence, and to listen to their suggestions and confer with them. The
possibilities are, but it is not probable, that we shall be able to
hold that meeting earlier than four o’clock. If so, notice will
                 be posted about the office.
We are anxious to meet all manufacturers who take an in
terest in the growth of this Association, and to hear them at that
                 first meeting.

                      P r e sid e n t S trong : At the close of our first year as an
Association, it seems proper to ask in brief what have been the

results and what are the prospects for the future.
The details of the past year you will have from the report
of our efficient Secretary. I think it proper, however, to call your
attention to the fact that owing to the necessary delay in per
fecting our organization and determining upon the selection of a
Secretary, the year's work has really all been done in eight
months. Considering the conditions existing last June, I believe
that exceedingly satisfactory results have been accomplished and
there is every reason to expect that during the coming year
the Association will take such a position that there will be no
