“Shabbat on the Beach” with Temple Emanu-El
Join Temple Emanu-El Religious School families at 6:00 p.m. for this
much-anticipated annual Shabbat dinner and service at Siesta Key Beach.
A delicious casual Israeli Shabbat dinner will be served under the covered
pavilion, followed by a beautiful sunset service – conducted by Associate
Rabbi Michael Shefrin, the Family Shabbat Band and Religious School
students – right on the beach. Although “Shabbat on the Beach” is es-
pecially for young Jewish and interfaith families, all are warmly invited.
Cost: $12/adults and $7/children aged 10 and under. For more information,

First Fridays at Chabad
Enjoy an inspiring Friday night service and a delicious Shabbat Oneg with
a special selection of kosher wines from around the world in an inviting
atmosphere with friends. First Fridays at 6:30 p.m. at Chabad Education
Center (21560 Angela Lane, Venice) is a monthly community gathering to
pray, schmooze and enjoy time together. It’s an opportunity to celebrate
Shabbat, make new friends, see familiar faces and be part of the community.
