The Sarasota Jewish Theater proudly begins its inaugural season
with a series of rehearsed readings on Zoom. All plays in the
series are performed by superb actors and directed by
well-respected Sarasota directors.

and Sandra Musicante, narrated by Rabbi Geoff Huntting
and directed by Carole Kleinberg. This funny and moving
play spans 65 years. As a grandmother, mother and
granddaughter grow and change, secrets and surprises are
revealed, conflicts are resolved, always grounded in love

A live Zoom talk-back will be held after the play.

Israeli Cooking Demonstration
Learn about the cultures of Israel and their signature dishes in this inno-
vative Zoom cooking demonstration with Israeli-American chef/educator
delicious Israeli hummus with a variety of toppings. Join us for this free
Evie Shen-Tal. We’ll first learn all about hummus and how to make smooth,
Temple Emanu-El event at 11:00 a.m. on Zoom. Another demonstration
will be held Tuesday, March 9 at 12:30 p.m., where we’ll learn a new way
to make stuffed cabbage. Evie will offer lively, educational commentary as

“Overcoming Stage Fright”
As the former president of Presentation Anxiety Consulting Group, Tem-
ple Sinai’s Chazzan Abramson will bring back his successful “Overcoming
Stage Fright” workshop. From his years in theatre and film, as well as his
pastoral training as ordained clergy, this issue will be dealt with practically,

Lunch and Learn with Rabbi Michael Sternfield
Bring your lunch, sit down at your own table and bring an inquisitive
mind. Each week there will be a different group discussion on Jewish top-

“The Twelve Minor Prophets”
A major section of the Tanach (Hebrew Bible) is Nevi’im, Prophets. Each
week, following the chanting of the Torah, we add a prophetic reading.
This series will study the teachings and intent of some of the lesser-known
prophets and, when applicable, ascertain why the Sages chose to emphasize
various sections. This series, facilitated by Reb Ari Shapiro, will continue

“Why is this Kiddush Cup Different from All Other Kiddush Cups: The
Story Behind Jewish Ritual Items” with Rabbi Anat Moskowitz is part
of a seven-week series celebrating Jewish culture that features a variety
of speakers on Tuesdays. Topics include Jewish Mindfulness, Yiddish
Culture, Comedic Judaism, the Law and Jewish Values of RBG, Jewish

One Rabbi’s Perspective on the Afterlife
Is death really the end of life or just the beginning? Join Rabbi Howard
Siegel for his perspective on life after death. In this two-part course,
Rabbi Siegel will explore Jewish eschatology (what Judaism has to teach
about the afterlife) and offer his own personal understanding of the end
