X Tuition reimbursement excludes expenses for room and board, books, fees,
and other expenses not considered tuition

X All applications for tuition reimbursement must be in writing and approved
by the Division Vice President and the Vice President of Finance prior to
course registration
X Additionally, the employee must be performing at a satisfactory level
or average performer; employees that perform below standards or on
performance warning, will not be eligible


Reimbursement of tuition is limited to those courses that have been approved
and are contingent upon presentation to the President of the following: receipt
from institution and grade report. Reimbursement will be according to the
following schedule, based on the grade achieved:


Grade Full Time
A, B, or C 100%
D or F 0%


If you participate in a class that only offers a Pass or Fail “grade”, you will only
receive reimbursement if you receive a Pass for the course.


Employees who terminate employment within 12 months of completing a
company-reimbursed course, without moving to a sister Americare Community,
will be responsible to Americare for all of the costs paid by the community.


If an employee voluntarily reduces their employment status to less than full
time during the 12-month period following reimbursement, the employee
is expected to immediately repay, through payroll deduction or otherwise, a

prorated amount paid by Americare during the previous months. For example,
if status falls below full time ive months after payment of tuition, the employee
must payback the 7/12’s of the tuition reimbursed by Americare.


Reimbursement under the Tuition Assistance Program may not be taxable
income to the employee, if all criteria established by applicable law are satisied.
This tuition reimbursement is subject solely to the discretion of Americare
management and may be terminated at any time.


Tuition Assistance Program is only eligible for courses applicable to career
advancement or advancement within Americare. All full-time employees
working at least 30 hours per week are eligible.
