BENEFITS ELIGIBILITY AND



ENROLLMENT



Who is Eligible?

All Partners, Principals, Non-Partner Lawyers, Professionals, and Counsel working at least 20
hours per week, as well as Chiefs, Directors, Managers, Business Services Staff, and Paralegals
who work at least 30 hours per week, may participate.

Employees on disability or leave of absence may enroll and elect coverage, However, your life
insurance, AD&D, and long term disability benefits elections, as well as elections made on behalf of
a dependent, will not go into effect until you return to active status or until a medical professional
deems you or your dependent to no longer be disabled.

Eligible dependents include your legal spouse, domestic partner, and dependent children. Please
note a domestic partner is not eligible to participate in flexible spending accounts per IRS rules.

Children up to age 26, regardless of tax dependency, marital, or student status are covered
through the end of their birth month when they turn 26.
Employees who do not fit within one of the eligible groups above are not eligible for Dentons
US benefits (e.g., part-time employees, temporary employees). Independent contractors and
other contingent workers are not eligible for benefits.

Coverage Categories

When choosing medical, dental and vision insurance options, you may choose one of these
coverage levels:
„ Single—coverage for yourself only
„ Single plus one—coverage for yourself and one eligible dependent

„ Family—coverage for yourself and two or more eligible dependents

Open Enrollment

Since your coverage needs can change over time, we offer you the opportunity each November
to amend your medical, dental, vision and flexible spending account elections for the upcoming
year. The choices you make during November’s Open Enrollment take effect on January 1st of the
following year.
