YOUR 2022 BENEFITS GUIDE
At DAWSON, you are critical to our success as a company. In recognition of your
importance to us, we offer a competitive and comprehensive benefits program.
This Benefits Guide summarizes DAWSON’s program in a quick and easy-to-
understand format. Individual plan documents with more details are available
on workforcenow.ADP.com.
NEW HIRE ENROLLMENT
Welcome to the ‘ohana! For new employees, your benefits are effective on your
date of hire. You have 30 days from the date of hire to elect coverage, which will
then be retroactive back to your date of hire.
OPEN ENROLLMENT
In early November of each year, we have open enrollment for the next benefits
year. DAWSON’s benefits year is January 1 to December 31.
CHANGING YOUR BENEFITS MID-YEAR
Once you make your elections for the 2022 plan year, you will not be able to make
changes until next year’s annual enrollment unless you experience a qualifying
life event. Examples of qualifying events include the following:
• Change of legal marital status (e.g., marriage, divorce, death of spouse,
legal separation)
• Change in number of dependents (e.g., birth, adoption, death of dependent,
ineligibility due to age)
• Change in employment or job status (e.g., moving from part-time to full-time)
• Loss of coverage
Please note, you must make changes to your benefits within 30 days of your
qualifying event. If you do not make changes during this time, you must wait
until next year’s annual enrollment to make your changes. The only benefits that
can be changed mid-year without a qualifying life event are your contributions
to your 401(k) and your contributions to your Health Savings Account (HSA) if
you’re enrolled in the HDHP 1 medical plan.
To request a change in benefits due to a qualifying life event, log in to workforcenow.
ADP.com and go to Benefits to request a change within 30 days of the event.
The change will be effective the date of the life event.
