Benzazepines:
The seven-membered heterocycles, especially those condensed with one or two
benzene rings have been only studied in the last four decades. They quickly acquired
great attention due to the psychopharmacological activity of some derivatives of these
ring systems, e.g., imipramin which is a dibenzazepine derivative and is used as an
antidepressant agent
