Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has unveiled plans to implement a Variable Road Toll
Pricing (Salik) system and a revamped Parking Tariff Policy in 2025. These measures are designed to
streamline traffic flow and improve parking availability across the city, particularly during peak hours and
events.

Variable Salik Toll Pricing
The Variable Road Toll Pricing (Salik) system, set to launch at the end of January 2025, introduces toll
rates based on traffic demand and time of day. Key details include:
• Toll-Free Hours: Motorists can enjoy toll-free passage between 1am and 6am daily.
• Weekday Rates: During morning (6am–10am) and evening (4pm–8pm) peak hours, the toll will be
set at AED 6. For off-peak hours (10am–4pm and 8pm–1am), the rate reduces to AED 4.
