by Hyphen Web Desk - 28 July

The Emirati Human Resources Development Council (EHRDC)
and Keolis MHI have signed a Memorandum of Understanding
(MoU) to enhance Emiratisation in the private sector. This
collaboration aims to create more opportunities for UAE nationals

in private sector roles, aligning with the government's broader
objectives of increasing local employment and reducing reliance
                                                      on foreign workers.

EHRDC's initiative is part of a comprehensive strategy to integrate
Emiratis into various sectors of the economy, ensuring sustainable
employment growth and development. The partnership with Keolis
MHI, known for its expertise in public transportation operations and
maintenance, marks a significant step towards achieving these

According to industry experts, this MoU will facilitate skill
development and training programs tailored to meet the needs of the transportation sector. The focus will be on
equipping Emiratis with the necessary technical and managerial skills to excel in the industry. Keolis MHI, which
operates and maintains the Dubai Metro and Dubai Tram, will provide practical training and internships to Emirati
youth, enhancing their employability and career prospects.

the private sector. Initiatives like the collaboration between EHRDC and Keolis MHI are crucial in driving this agenda
forward. By offering targeted training programs and career development opportunities, the partnership aims to create
a skilled workforce capable of contributing to the nation's economic growth.

committed to supporting the UAE's vision of sustainable development. "Our partnership with EHRDC underscores
our dedication to empowering Emirati talent and providing them with the skills needed to succeed in the
        transportation industry," Tabary said.

EHRDC's Chairman, Abdullah Al Mazrui, emphasized the strategic importance of the agreement, noting that it aligns
with the UAE's broader economic diversification goals. "This MoU is a testament to our commitment to fostering a

competitive and skilled Emirati workforce. We believe that partnerships with industry leaders like Keolis MHI are
