According to industry experts, this MoU will facilitate skill
development and training programs tailored to meet the needs of the transportation sector. The focus will be on
equipping Emiratis with the necessary technical and managerial skills to excel in the industry. Keolis MHI, which
operates and maintains the Dubai Metro and Dubai Tram, will provide practical training and internships to Emirati
youth, enhancing their employability and career prospects.
The UAE government has been actively promoting Emiratisation across various sectors, with significant emphasis on
the private sector. Initiatives like the collaboration between EHRDC and Keolis MHI are crucial in driving this agenda
forward. By offering targeted training programs and career development opportunities, the partnership aims to create
a skilled workforce capable of contributing to the nation's economic growth.
Keolis MHI CEO, Bernard Tabary, highlighted the importance of this collaboration, stating that the company is
committed to supporting the UAE's vision of sustainable development. "Our partnership with EHRDC underscores
our dedication to empowering Emirati talent and providing them with the skills needed to succeed in the
transportation industry," Tabary said.
EHRDC's Chairman, Abdullah Al Mazrui, emphasized the strategic importance of the agreement, noting that it aligns
with the UAE's broader economic diversification goals. "This MoU is a testament to our commitment to fostering a
competitive and skilled Emirati workforce. We believe that partnerships with industry leaders like Keolis MHI are
