New Law For Supreme Legislation Committee In

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler
of Dubai, has enacted Law No. (14) of 2024. This law pertains to the Supreme Legislation
Committee in Dubai. It specifies the Committee's objectives and duties, as well as those of its
General Secretariat. The law also outlines operational rules for the Committee and details
government entities' responsibilities towards it.

The new law mandates that both the Supreme Legislation Committee and its General Secretariat
adhere to a set of guidelines. These guidelines are formulated by the Chairman of the Committee.
They ensure compliance with local and federal laws, international agreements, and legal opinions
while fulfilling their responsibilities.

Following this law, H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum issued Decision
No. (3) of 2024. As First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, and
Chairman of the Supreme Legislation Committee in Dubai, he approved guidelines for conducting
