GAS launches ‘Talents’ project

DUBAI, 22nd February, 2024 (WAM) -- The General Authority of Sports

(GAS) launched a project titled “Talents,” which aims to discover and nurture

promising sporting talents in the UAE.

The project also aims to enhance the UAE’s sporting competitiveness and
inspire the youth to embrace sports as a way of life, in line with the UAE Vision

2031, by identifying and supporting 1,500 young sporting talents aged under
14.

The project will aim to motivate them to practice sports regularly, foster a

competitive spirit among them, and showcase their talents, as well as enable
them to adopt a healthy lifestyle, create a database of sports talents, and
expand the country’s pool of talents every year.

Ghanem Al Hajri, Director-General of GAS, said the project aims to encourage
young talents to join competitive sports early, improve their skills and
performance, and foster their health and sportsmanship.

The authority and its partners from relevant sporting entities will support these
talents to develop their skills and ensure their professional growth, he added,
