Statement by H.E. Ahmad Saeed bin Meshar Al Muhairi, SLC Secretary

General, on Mother’s Day 2025

March 20, 2025 - “Mother's Day is a significant occasion to express heartfelt appreciation for

the boundless generosity of mothers, who selflessly nurture future generations and strengthen
the fabric of society. As the cornerstone of families, mothers instil noble values in their children,

preparing them to become responsible individuals who can contribute meaningfully to their
society and fulfil the aspirations pinned upon them to drive national progress.

In recognition of the remarkable role of mothers, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is committed

to empowering mothers and enhancing their status by creating a supporting environment that
allows them to balance their family, social, and professional responsibilities.

On this occasion, we at the Supreme Legislation Committee in the Emirate of Dubai (SLC) are

honoured to extend our heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Her Highness Sheikha
Fatima bint Mubarak, the ‘Mother of the Nation,’ Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union,

President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of
the Family Development Foundation. We also extend our sincere gratitude to all mothers in the

UAE and around the world for their noble sacrifices and devotion to raising future generations.”
