Statement by H.E. Ahmad Saeed bin Meshar, SLC

Secretary General on Zayed Humanitarian Day 2025

March 18, 2025 - "Zayed Humanitarian Day, celebrated annually on the 19th of

Ramadan, is a tribute to the enduring values of compassion and generosity that have
defined the United Arab Emirates (UAE) since its founding by the late Sheikh Zayed

bin Sultan Al Nahyan. His visionary leadership and steadfast commitment to
humanitarian causes left a lasting legacy, extending aid and support to communities in

the UAE and abroad.

Inspired by his noble legacy, our wise leadership remains committed to fostering
generosity and tolerance, values that are the foundation of the UAE’s charitable and

humanitarian mission. In this spirit, we reaffirm our dedication to enhancing legislative
frameworks that align with the government’s vision of positioning the UAE as a global

leader in philanthropy and a beacon of giving and service to humanity."
