on International Women’s Day 2025

07 March 2025 - “Every year, we celebrate International Women’s Day to recognise the

remarkable achievements of women and their vital contributions to shaping societies and
advancing progress across all sectors. This occasion highlights the importance of sustaining the

ongoing efforts to support women’s aspirations in nation-building, empowering women as key
contributors to political, economic, cultural, and social development. The United Arab Emirates

commemorates this day as a testament to its unwavering commitment to fostering women’s
empowerment and acknowledging their pivotal role in national growth and prosperity. Emirati

women have emerged as exemplary models of excellence, holding leadership positions, guiding

strategic decision-making, and driving innovation and sustainable development. This progress
reflects the UAE’s vision, which promotes women’s empowerment as fundamental to building a

thriving, advanced, and prosperous society.

At the Supreme Legislation Committee in the Emirate of Dubai (SLC), we believe that
empowering women is the cornerstone of a progressive and sustainable society, paving the way

for a brighter and more prosperous future. Guided by the vision of our wise leadership, we are
dedicated to enhancing women's status through progressive legislation that safeguards their

rights and creates new opportunities for creativity, innovation, and excellence.”
