Dubai Launches Child Protection Framework

To Strengthen Family Wellbeing

Dubai has taken a major step in child welfare with the launch of the Dubai Child Protection Framework, a
structured initiative aimed at ensuring child safety, family support and long-term wellbeing. This initiative was

approved by The Executive Council of Dubai, chaired by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid
Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of
The Executive Council of Dubai.

The Dubai Child Protection Framework introduces a structured system to protect children from infancy to young
adulthood (up to 21 years old). It prioritises:

Child safety and wellbeing through early intervention and prevention

Stronger family support with parenting programs and pre-marital guidance
Enhanced social case management through the Dubai Child Protection Protocol
Specialised training for professionals, including social workers and educators

Digital transformation of services for better access and efficiency
Legal reforms to reinforce accountability and child protection policies

The initiative brings together key government entities, including Community Development Authority, Knowledge and

Human Development Authority, Dubai Police, Dubai Public Prosecution, Dubai Courts, Supreme Legislation
Committee, Dubai Health Authority, Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, Erada Centre, Dubai Foundation for
