GDIFA Announces MoU Signing with SLC for Strategic

Dubai’s General Directorate for Identity and Foreigners Affairs (GDIFA) has signed a Memorandum of
Understanding (MoU) with the Supreme Legislation Committee (SLC) in Dubai. This agreement aims
to boost cooperation between the two entities, exchange legislative knowledge, and improve
government services. It aligns with Dubai’s vision for the future and GDIFA’s efforts to promote good
governance.
The MoU was signed in the presence of His Excellency Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al
Marri, Director General of GDIFA, and His Excellency Ahmed Saeed bin Meshar Al Muhairi, Secretary
General of the SLC. This partnership is a key step toward enhancing legal and legislative work,
improving government policies, and launching joint initiatives. The goal is to raise awareness about
legislation, support government excellence, and use modern technologies like artificial intelligence to
improve efficiency.

H.E. Al Marri emphasized the importance of this agreement, stating that it reflects GDIFA’s
commitment to creating a strong government work environment and ensuring compliance with laws.
He said, “Working together with the Supreme Legislation Committee will help Dubai develop better
regulations and improve government performance. This will further strengthen the Emirate’s global
reputation for good governance and innovation.”
H.E. Al Muhairi also spoke about the significance of this collaboration. He highlighted that working
together will improve legislative knowledge and strengthen institutional governance. He added that the
SLC is committed to building a modern and flexible legal system that supports Dubai’s progress and
long-term growth.
