Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Director of the General Department of
Traffic, revealed the initiative was implemented with support from multiple partners,

including government entities, charitable organisations, and private sector companies.

“Arriving late and safe is better than not arriving at all,” he stressed.

Dubai Police call for planning ahead, following traffic rules, and maintaining
patience

The initiative addresses a significant challenge during Ramadan: increased traffic violations
and accidents around iftar time.

Drivers often speed or run red lights in their haste to reach destinations before the call to

prayer.

Partners in the campaign included the Roads and Transport Authority, Dubai Civil Defence,
Emirates Red Crescent, Dubai Health Authority, and over 375 volunteers from various

sectors.
