for environmental sustainability is evident in its allocation of resources and capabilities
towards integrated municipal services. These initiatives are crucial for reducing marine
pollution and protecting Dubai's natural habitats.

In addition to technological advancements, Dubai Municipality has established a
dedicated team responsible for the upkeep of over 35 kilometres (19 nautical miles) of
water canals and creeks. This team, consisting of 12 marine captains, 25 workers and
sailors, along with 12 marine vehicles, undertakes daily cleaning operations as per a
meticulously planned schedule. Their round-the-clock field follow-ups ensure the
effectiveness of these environmental preservation efforts.

The introduction of the smart marine scraper by Dubai Municipality is a testament to the
Emirate's commitment to environmental sustainability and innovation. By combining local
talent with advanced technology, Dubai sets a precedent for urban centers worldwide in
