MBRF Launches Knowledge Lounge in Egypt to Promote Reading

The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) has officially launched its Knowledge Lounge initiative in Egypt. This
launch is part of MBRF’s continuous efforts to promote a culture of reading in the Arabic language and to nurture the intellectual potential of young
people across the Arab world. The initiative aims to provide a platform where Arab youth can enhance their knowledge, develop critical thinking,
and explore diverse ideas and perspectives.
The launch ceremony took place at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, one of Egypt’s most iconic cultural landmarks. The session was moderated by the
well-known writer Said Mahmoud and saw participation from many prominent literary and cultural figures. The choice of the Bibliotheca
Alexandrina as the venue underlines the initiative’s emphasis on knowledge, culture, and history, linking the new project with Egypt’s rich
intellectual legacy.

CEO Highlights Regional Expansion
Jamal bin Huwaireb, CEO of MBRF, emphasized the importance of this launch in Egypt. He said, “The Knowledge Lounge in Egypt is a major step
in MBRF’s regional expansion strategy. Our goal is to introduce this initiative to all major Arab knowledge capitals, encouraging young people to
read more, improve their skills, and explore a wide range of intellectual fields.”
He further added that the initiative aligns with MBRF’s mission to empower minds, refine skills, and promote openness. By launching the
Knowledge Lounge at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, MBRF also highlighted its commitment to historical and cultural institutions, emphasizing their
role in spreading knowledge and fostering creativity.
