Partnering for sustainable tourism

The Sustainable Destinations Forum—the premier global platform aimed at ensuring tourism serves as
an engine for environmental health and local prosperity—will showcase innovative practices and
strategies designed to propel the sustainable tourism agenda on a global scale.

Hosted at The Nexus in Expo City Dubai, an ISO 20121:2024-certified venue, the Forum will gather
influential figures and decision-makers, including city and regional leaders, tourism industry
professionals, private and public developers, investors, consultants, and international organizations,
fostering a unique environment for cross-sector collaboration. Notable speakers include Wael Al-
Rousan, Deputy Managing Director of the Jordan Tourism Board; Melih Kayacik from the Tourism
Directorate of the Metropolitan City of Izmir; and Dr. Chuwit Mitrchob, Deputy Director General of the
Designated Areas for Sustainable Tourism Administration (DASTA) in Thailand.

Dubai Business Events—the city’s official convention bureau—will serve as a destination partner at the
Forum, which will concentrate on sustainable business practices in tourism, the innovative application of
data in sustainability metrics, the empowerment of local leadership, and the enhancement of tourist
experiences through the Good Travel Alliance.
