Ministry of Economy and Tourism signs five MoUs with Ajman
Transport Authority, Fujairah Municipality, Emirates Islamic Bank,
Emirates NBD, and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank
Agreements will contribute to developing the ‘Growth’ platform, eliminating
government bureaucracy, and providing a reliable and comprehensive economic
database for the business sector
Abu Dhabi, October xx, 2025:
The Ministry of Economy and Tourism signed five Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with
the Ajman Transport Authority, Fujairah Municipality, Emirates Islamic Bank, Abu Dhabi Islamic
Bank (ADIB), and Emirates NBD. The agreements aim to enhance the digital integration of the
National Economic Registry - 'Growth' platform and expand its network of partners through data
exchange and electronic linkage. The signing took place on the sidelines of the Ministry’s
participation in GITEX Global 2025, held from October 13 to 17 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
On behalf of the Ministry of Economy and Tourism, the MoUs were signed by H.E. Abdullah
Ahmed Al Saleh, Undersecretary of the Ministry; and H.E Abdulaziz Al-Nuaimi, Assistant
Undersecretary for Entrepreneurship and the Economic Affairs Regulatory Sector. The partner
entities were represented by H.E. Omar Mohammed Lotaah, Director General of the Ajman
Transport Authority; H.E. Eng. Mohamed Saif Al Afkham, Director General of Fujairah
Municipality; Mohamed Al Hadi, Head of Retail Banking & Wealth Management at Emirates
Islamic; Mohamed Al Fahim, Acting Global Head of Wholesale Banking at ADIB; and Marwan
Mahmoud Hadi, Head of Retail Banking & Wealth Management at Emirates NBD.
The agreements contribute to the development of the digital infrastructure of the National
Economic Registry – ‘Growth’ platform and promote the exchange of information on businesses
and economic licenses across the UAE through electronic linkage. They also enhance the
platform’s capabilities to receive and process data efficiently, improve its reliability, facilitate the
provision of accurate and up-to-date information on economic licenses, and provide
comprehensive analytical reports on economic activities and their progress. This, in turn, supports
strategic and operational planning, informs decision-making, and contributes to national objectives
by ensuring the availability of reliable data to decision-makers across the country.
The signing of the MoUs underscores the Ministry of Economy and Tourism’s continued
commitment to advancing the ‘Growth’ platform and fostering collaboration with federal and local
authorities, as well as the private sector. The initiative aims to provide a reliable and
comprehensive economic database for the business community, including decision-makers,
