The Ministry of Economy and Tourism has announced the Cabinet’s approval of revised fees for

trademark services, marking a major step in strengthening the UAE’s intellectual property

framework and enhancing its appeal to global investors.

The decision, unveiled at a media briefing in Dubai, reflects the country’s ongoing efforts to

support innovation, attract foreign companies, and empower small and medium enterprises

(SMEs) and People of Determination. Under the new framework, SME members receive a 50%

exemption on fees, while People of Determination are granted a full exemption.
