8/15/25, 9:12 AM Dubai Youth Lab: Shaping Young Leaders for UAE’s Future
The solutions were assessed based on innovation, feasibility, and alignment with national priorities. This method
ensured that young participants were not just sharing ideas but also learning how to make practical, implementable
solutions that could benefit the nation.

        KHDA Highlights Youth Readiness

Her Excellency Aisha Miran, Director General of KHDA, praised the youth for their maturity and innovative
thinking. She stated, “This is more than a platform for exchanging ideas. It is a genuine workshop where youth
energy meets Dubai’s strategic vision. The ideas presented today were practical, well thought out, and reflected a
deep understanding of the nation’s priorities.”
She added that initiatives like this are vital for nurturing talent and creating an environment where youth can succeed
        and contribute positively to society.

        Developing Decision-Makers

Reem Al Falasi, President of the Dubai Youth Council, explained that the lab is an opportunity for young people to
experience being decision-makers, not just beneficiaries. She said, “The Dubai Youth Lab helps young people
understand how Dubai’s government works. It builds skills in policy analysis and fosters direct communication with
leaders. The event also generates innovative ideas that can contribute to government development.”

        Tackling Key Community Challenges
During the lab, six groups of youth worked on priority community issues, including:

           The future of education

           Mental health awareness and solutions

           Employment opportunities

Aligning education with labor market needs

Promoting a culture of training and skill development

           Empowering non-university graduates
Each group developed practical solutions for these challenges. The results will be documented, analyzed, and
submitted to relevant authorities to inform future government programs and policies, ensuring the ideas have a real
impact on Dubai and the UAE.
The Dubai Youth Lab is a clear example of how Dubai is investing in its youth to prepare the next generation of
leaders. By combining hands-on experience, innovative thinking, and mentorship from senior leaders, the initiative
ensures that young people are not only engaged but also empowered to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s
        development.
Through events like this, Dubai is showing that youth are partners in building the nation’s future, capable of
generating innovative solutions, leading projects, and shaping policies that impact society positively. This initiative
reflects the UAE’s vision to empower young minds, create leaders for tomorrow, and continue its journey of
        sustainable progress and prosperity.
