UAE Air Connectivity Soars as Passenger Traffic Hits

75.4 Million in H1 2025

The aviation sector of the UAE is strengthening its position as a global leader, as the airport of
nation welcomed 75.4 million in the first half of 2025. According to the General Civil Aviation
Authority (GCAA), it is a 5 percent increase compared to the same period last year. Therefore,

the UAE air connectivity is soaring with immense growth.

Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Chairman of the GCAA, highlighted the
commitment of the nation to expand the air commitment to expand air connectivity through
flexible regulations, ambitious open skies policies, and world-class infrastructure.

Abdulla said, “This practice has significantly boosted the UAE’s competitiveness in the global

aviation industry. Now, the sector is a key driver of economic growth, tourism, trade,
