UAE Ministry Partners with Dubai Science Park
for IP Growth

The Ministry of Economy and Tourism of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has taken an
important step to boost innovation and protect intellectual property in the country by
signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dubai Science Park, which is part
of the TECOM Group PJSC. This partnership aims to enhance cooperation in the areas of
intellectual property (IP) protection, patent registration, and support for businesses and
innovators in Dubai and across TECOM Group’s various business districts.

The MoU was officially signed by Dr. Abdulrahman Al Muaini, who serves as the
Assistant Undersecretary for the Intellectual Property Sector at the Ministry of Economy
and Tourism. On the other side, representing Dubai Science Park and TECOM Group, the
agreement was signed by Marwan Abdulaziz Janahi, the Senior Vice President of Dubai
Science Park, Dubai Knowledge Park, and Dubai International Academic City.
