The Sports Authority and the Emirates Fencing Federation are discussing the development paths of the game

As part of a series of meetings held by the General Sports Authority, His Excellency Sheikh Suhail bin Butti Al

Maktoum held a meeting with Engineer Sheikh Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, President of the Fencing Federation, to
study the priorities for the coming period.

Sharjah 24:

His Excellency Sheikh Suhail bin Butti Al Maktoum, Executive Director of the Sports Development Sector at the General Sports
Authority, held a meeting with Eng. Sheikh Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, President of the UAE, Arab and Asian Fencing Federations, in
the presence of Abdulaziz Al-Hussan Al Shamsi, Director of the Competitive Sports Department in the Authority, and Omar Khalaf
Director of the Sports Governance Department, to set future strategic items aimed at strengthening governance within the federation and
developing a mechanism for talent discovery and development.

This meeting comes in light of the selection of fencing among the priority sports announced by the Coordinating Council last
June, along with athletics, archery, archery, and judo, where the authority holds meetings with priority sports federations,
