The MoU signing ceremony, held at the KICD offices in Nairobi, was
attended by representatives from the Ministries of Education, the ICT

Authority, the UAE ambassador, and other development partners.

Prof. Charles Ochieng Ong’ondo, CEO of KICD, highlighted the critical
importance of this initiative by stating that, “This collaboration is a

testament to our dedication to providing relevant and up-to-date
educational content. By integrating climate change education into our

curriculum and utilizing our digital platform, we are taking a crucial step
toward building a sustainable society. The Kenya Education Cloud will

ensure that this vital information is accessible to learners and teachers

across the country.”

Alef Education will play a key role in supplying high-quality digital content
for climate education, aligned with best educational practices. This content
will include educational videos, quizzes, and interactive materials on carbon

literacy, aimed at equipping learners and educators with the tools to

understand and address climate change complexities.
