Shaheen Nilofer, UNICEF Country Representative, emphasized that, “Our
collaboration with KICD and Alef Education demonstrates our dedication to
equip children with the necessary tools for today’s challenges. Children,
although least responsible for the climate crisis, are most affected by its
impacts. By integrating climate change education into the curriculum, we
are empowering children to become agents of change for a more resilient
Kenya. UNICEF will continue to support access to this education, especially
for vulnerable learners in remote areas.”
The MoU marks a significant step forward in climate change education,
underscoring the commitment of all parties to foster a greener and more
resilient Kenya.
