A whole range of products will be banned as the clock strikes midnight on Wednesday January 1
including plastic straws, cups and stirrers.

The phasing out of single-use products in Dubai was announced on the final day of 2023 with three
phases between then and the start of 2026 giving businesses time to prepare for the changes.

The latest phase of the plan will see plastic stirrers, table covers, plastic cups, styrofoam food
containers, plastic straws and plastic cotton swabs banned.
