UAE solidifies role as key player in global tourism

In statements to t he Emirates News Agency (WAM), Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism and
Chairman of t he Emirates Tour ism Council, said t hat t he sector had achieved major milestones, including t he launch of
t he UAE Tour ism Strategy 2031 and t he election of Shaikha Nasser Al Nowais, as t he first Emirati to hold t he position of
Secretary-General of t he UN World Tour ism Or ganisation for t he 2026-2029 term.
