Hotel establishments in the UAE welcomed over 16.1 million guests during the first half of this year,
reflecting a growth of 5.5 percent in comparison to the same timeframe in 2024.

According to Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, the UAE minister of Economy and Tourism, the hospitality
sector has demonstrated exceptional performance during this period, showcasing its resilience and
capacity for sustained growth, which in turn enhances the competitiveness of the country’s tourism
environment.

He emphasized that this sector, bolstered by the directives of wise leadership, continues to experience
increasing growth rates that underscore its appeal and competitiveness on both regional and global
scales. This success, he noted, results from the collaborative efforts between the public and private
sectors, which serve as a fundamental pillar in fortifying the sector’s sustainability.
