The initiative seeks to strengthen the country’s IP landscape and align with
national goals for economic progress and sustainable development.

Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Chairman of the UAE

Circular Economy Council, emphasized that the new Green IP roadmap
positions the UAE as a leader in sustainable innovation. The initiative aligns

with We the UAE 2031 and Innovation Month, enhancing the country’s
appeal for green projects.

The Ministry will collaborate with local stakeholders and World Intellectual

Property Organization (WIPO) to support inventors and businesses in key

economic sectors.

Undersecretary Abdulla Ahmed Al Saleh highlighted the UAE’s leadership in
eco-friendly solutions, stressing the roadmap’s role in integrating digital

and advanced technology for sustainability.

The initiative also aims to integrate intellectual property into sustainable

innovations through partnerships with academia and research institutions,
ensuring eco-friendly projects are protected under strong legal frameworks.
