The discussion took place during a briefing where Dr. Thani Al Zeyoudi was updated on the
latest initiatives and projects launched by the department.

He stressed that the visit is a crucial step towards enhancing coordination and cooperation with
the federal government to support the foreign trade sector, achieve sustainable diversification
across all areas of the national economy, and boost non-oil GDP growth in the UAE in general,
and Ajman in particular, given its strategic geographical location on the Arabian Gulf coast and
its role as a link between the various emirates of the country.

Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi stated that the UAE is considered an international pioneering
hub, enjoying a prestigious global standing. It has become an important centre for non-oil
foreign trade and has expanded its network of trade partners by opening new markets through
the signing of Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements, which enhance the economic
diversification policy and contribute to doubling the country's GDP.
He confirmed that data and indicators show the strength of trade movement between the UAE
and other countries worldwide, with the maritime transport sector forming a significant part of
               this movement.

He praised the initiatives of Ajman Port and Customs Department, its ongoing efforts, its
technological advancements, and its diverse services, which are based on a robust
               infrastructure and diverse human competencies.
