Innovating for growth: Savoye's e-commerce success in the Middle East - Logistics Middle East
cities.” This model allows retailers to deliver goods within a short timeframe, leveraging
the proximity of MFCs to the end consumers.

However, the post-pandemic era has also introduced new challenges and
considerations for MFCs. “After COVID, customers became more cost-driven,”
Kaddoum noted. “They are saying, okay, I would like to have urban fulfilment, but at

which cost?” The focus has shifted towards balancing the need for rapid delivery with
cost-effectiveness and return on investment. This is where Savoye’s innovative
        solutions come into play.

Savoye’s approach to MFCs involves a mix of manual and semi-automated systems to

achieve cost efficiency and high performance. “Urban fulfilment is booming, but it’s a
mix of manual and semi-automated for the moment, and that’s where we see our
added value,” Kaddoum stated. By integrating robotic solutions, Savoye provides cost-

effective options, allowing customers to increase their storage capacity and improve
operational efficiency while maintaining a favourable ROI.

Savoye’s robotic solutions, such as the Flexi mobile collaborative robot, are designed to
enhance the efficiency of MFCs by reducing non-productive time and streamlining

operations. These innovations help retailers and logistics providers to meet the
growing demand for rapid delivery services without incurring prohibitive costs.

        Savoye’s plans and regional focus

Savoye is poised for significant growth and expansion, driven by a strategic focus on

supply chain excellence and regional development. Kaddoum outlined the company’s
ambitious plans for the future, emphasising its commitment to providing end-to-end
solutions and strengthening its presence in key markets.

“Globally, Savoye’s plans are really to expand more in different regions,” Kaddoum

stated. Savoye’s dedication to providing comprehensive supply chain solutions that
integrate advanced software and technology with robust automation systems underpin
this global expansion strategy. “We also want to focus on the end-to-end solution for

supply chain excellence. So this is what we are pushing ourselves to say: We are not
only an automation provider or manufacturer but also an integrator of advanced
        software and technology.”

In the Middle East, Savoye’s regional focus is particularly strong in Saudi Arabia and the
UAE. Kaddoum highlighted the importance of these markets, “In the region, the goal is

to strengthen our position in KSA by developing the team there further. We have
already established a team in KSA. I would like to develop it further to support the
existing customers, continue the development in the UAE, and look around the GCC to

support the surrounding countries as well.”
