Sharjah’s move mirrors recent changes in Dubai, where the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) centralised
licence services through its unified website and smart app. Dubai residents can now apply for, renew, or replace
their driving licences digitally – without stepping into a service centre.

Public sector collaboration

Ali Mousa from EMX expressed pride in strengthening the partnership with Sharjah Police, adding that the
initiative showcases how public and private sectors can work together to improve operational outcomes. The
service will be available to all Sharjah residents, supporting a seamless, tech-enabled experience for motorists.
