Salvatore Sciacchitano, ICAO Council President, highlighted that "The ICAO Global Implementation
Support Symposium (GISS) 2025 will bring together states, industry leaders, and stakeholders to
shape the future of aviation. This symposium will focus on two critical areas transforming the
industry: sustainability and artificial intelligence, while ensuring the safety and security of aviation
               operations."

The symposium aims to address sustainability beyond environmental impacts. It includes
economic viability and operational efficiency. Discussions will cover regulatory changes, global
standards, and integrating new technologies safely into aviation operations.

An exhibition accompanying the symposium will feature 75 global companies specialising in
aviation, energy, and advanced technologies. This platform offers insights into innovative solutions
               driving sustainability in these sectors.

Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Chairman of GCAA Board, stated: "Hosting the
UAE of these major and influential international events in the civil aviation sector reflects its
pioneering position at both the regional and global levels." He hopes these events will foster new
programs supporting international efforts to develop civil aviation sustainably.

               Prominent Global Participation

The event will see participation from notable officials worldwide. These include Barbara Creecy
from South Africa's Transport Ministry and Viliame Rogoibulu Gavoka from Fiji's Tourism & Civil
Aviation Ministry. Other participants are Chief Ndlaluhlaza Ndwandwe from Eswatini's Public Works
Ministry and Alhaji Fanday Turay from Sierra Leone's Transport Ministry.

Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director General of GCAA, noted that hosting this event underscores
UAE's role as a strategic partner in civil aviation development. He emphasised that launching the
"Global Sustainable Aviation Marketplace" aligns with international needs for low-carbon fuels.

The symposium's inauguration will be led by Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri alongside Salvatore
Sciacchitano. Their leadership highlights UAE's commitment to advancing innovation and
               sustainability within civil aviation globally.
