Organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy, the National Agricultural Center,
and local tourism authorities, the campaign aims to align with the UAE’s domestic tourism
strategy, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice
President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
This strategy seeks to establish an integrated tourism ecosystem across the nation,
spotlighting green destinations and offering visitors unparalleled recreational and
educational opportunities.
The campaign invites residents and tourists alike to explore the UAE's natural diversity
and scenic beauty through unique experiences at parks, ecological attractions, and
natural reserves.
By highlighting these "green" landmarks, the initiative encourages sustainable practices
while showcasing the UAE’s rich environmental and cultural treasures.
Marine destinations
Hatta’s marine destinations, including its lakes, dams, and waterfalls, stand out as some
of the region’s most captivating tourist spots.
Nestled amidst towering mountains, these attractions offer a natural serenity that draws
visitors year-round.
Hatta Dam is a highlight of the area, known for its tranquil mountain environment adorned
with palm trees and wildflowers.
The dam’s lake, one of the largest water bodies in the region, attracts visitors to ‘Hatta
Kayak,’ where they can paddle through the waters teeming with vibrant fish species.
Leem Lake, set in the picturesque Wadi Leem, is surrounded by scenic farms and nestled
among mountain ranges.
Spanning 395 meters in length and averaging 50 meters in width, with a water depth of
about one meter, the lake has been developed as a prime attraction for locals and tourists
in Hatta.
In December 2024, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum inaugurated
the Hatta Sustainable Waterfalls.
