This standout feature includes a cascading waterfall originating from the upper dam of the
Hatta Hydroelectric Power Plant.
The project features a record-breaking mosaic mural depicting the late Sheikh Zayed bin
Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum.
This mural, crafted from over 1.2 million natural marble pieces, holds the Guinness World
Record as the largest mosaic in the world, covering an area of 2,199 square meters.
The waterfall flows into a water canal lined with retail outlets, restaurants, and cafes,
creating a vibrant hub for leisure and entertainment.
Historical landmarks
Hatta is home to a wealth of historical landmarks that offer a glimpse into the UAE’s rich
past.
From restored villages to ancient forts, the town provides an immersive experience into
the traditional life of the region.
Opened in 2001, Hatta Heritage Village stands as one of Dubai’s most iconic historical
attractions.
The village recreates rural life from centuries ago, offering visitors an authentic journey
through time.
Exhibits include life-sized models, documents, sculptures, handmade crafts, and
traditional cottages.
Visitors can experience daily village life as it was in the past, witnessing traditional cooking
methods, handicraft production, and enjoying coffee prepared over coal.
The village serves as a vibrant hub for cultural exchange, complete with the warmth of
traditional Emirati hospitality.
Constructed in 1896, Hatta Fort is one of the UAE’s most significant archaeological
landmarks.
Featuring an 11-meter watchtower and an interior courtyard, the fort was built using
natural materials, including mountain rocks and adobe bricks.
