85 million hotel nights in the Emirates

Abu Dhabi, February 18/ WAM/ His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al -Marri, Minister of Economy,
Chairman of the Emirates Tourism Council, said that the total number of guests of hotel establishments
in the Emirates reached approximately 24.9 million inmates during the first ten months of 2024,

achieving 9.5% growth The same period in 2023, while the total number of hotel nights reached about
85 million nights, with a growth rate of 8%, and the number of hotel establishments in the country

increased to 1246 facilities at the end of last October, recording 2% growth compared to the first ten
months of 2023.

This came during the first meeting of the “Consultative Council for Hospitality”, which was held today

headed by His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al -Marri, and in the presence of 16 presidents and
executives of a group of national and international hotels.

The Council discussed new mechanisms to support the growth of the hospitality sector in the country
during the current year, and increase the UAE’s attractiveness to local and international visitors, as well
as attracting more local and foreign investments in the tourism sector.

Plans to provide tourism training programs aimed at providing more job opportunities for Emirati
youth in this vital sector.
