Al Dhaid Honey Festival
On December 3, 2024, the first edition of the Al Dhaid Honey Festival kicked off at
the Expo Al Dhaid, featuring over 70 exhibitors.
The festival included competitions, entertainment activities, and opportunities to
taste and purchase the finest honey varieties.
The event plays a crucial role in promoting the local economy and showcasing the
rich Emirati heritage tied to beekeeping and honey production.
It fosters community engagement and offers visitors a chance to learn about honey
types, production methods, and healthy lifestyle practices, including the
consumption of natural honey and raising awareness about its nutritional benefits.
Liwa Dates Festival
The Liwa Dates Festival, a staple annual event in Abu Dhabi's cultural calendar,
celebrates Emirati culture and heritage while supporting the agriculture sector by
honoring date palms and their fruit.
The festival, which held its 20th edition in July 2024, focuses on sharing expertise
among farmers to cultivate the best quality date palms and fruits.
The festival has become one of the most significant cultural events and tourist
attractions in Abu Dhabi.
