It has evolved into a popular tourism carnival, attracting locals, residents, and
tourists, along with those interested in date palm farming, including individuals and
companies.

The 2024 edition featured 23 competitions over 14 days, including 11 Mazayna
competitions for the best dates, seven for fruits, three for model farms, and two for
the best heritage models and the most beautiful date palm basket.

Dubai Dates Festival
The first edition of the Dubai Date Festival, organized by the Hamdan Bin
Mohammed Heritage Center, launched on July 28, 2024, at Qalaat Al Remaal in
Dubai, and ran until August 3, 2024.

The festival saw significant participation from date palm enthusiasts, farm owners,
and local producers.

It featured multiple platforms showcasing everything related to date palm
cultivation, along with numerous activities and specialized workshops.

Al Dhaid Dates Festival
The 8th edition of the Al Dhaid Dates Festival, held in July 2024, brought together
date farmers from across the UAE to showcase various types of dates and compete
in a wide range of contests.

The festival also served as a platform for marketing dates and facilitating business
transactions between farmers and suppliers.

Furthermore, it featured 130 main prizes and performances by folk heritage teams
and a variety of cultural programs and competitions.

Hatta Farming Festival
In January 2024, the second edition of the Hatta Farming Festival, organized by
Dubai Municipality at Leem Lake, brought together leading Emirati farmers, local
farm owners, and agricultural companies.
