One of the standout initiatives in this regard is the Ras Al Khaimah Natures Treasure Museum
and Farm, located in the Al Mukawwrah area near Ras Al Khaimah Airport.
Created by engineer Tariq Al Salman, this unique project was designed as a natural sanctuary for
farming and animals.
The same space houses a museum that displays 100% natural artifacts and collections.
As part of the fifth season of the ‘World’s Coolest Winter’ campaign, held under the theme of
‘Green Tourism,’ the Ministry of Economy, the National Agricultural Center, and local tourism
authorities have focused on showcasing successful sustainable agricultural experiences.
This initiative aims to encourage sustainable tourism visits and aligns with the UAE's domestic
tourism strategy, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice
President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The strategy seeks to develop an integrated tourism ecosystem across the country.
A piece of the Amazon
“It's like you're in the Amazon rainforest,” says Engineer Tariq Al Salman, describing the
mesmerizing experience of walking through the lush greenery, surrounded by dense trees and the
sounds of birds chirping at the Ras Al Khaimah Natures Treasures.
Visitors encounter local and ancient trees, greenhouses cultivating seasonal vegetables and
plants, all while embracing the principles of sustainability and recycling.
The farm creatively uses tree waste and pruning results to create artistic and useful items that
are spread throughout the property.
