His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai,
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, affirmed that Flag Day represents a national occasion in
which the authentic values and established principles on which the United Arab Emirates was founded
are demonstrated, and the meanings of loyalty, belonging and cohesion among the leadership are
embodied. Al-Rashida and the people of the country.

His Highness extended his warmest congratulations and blessings to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed
bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin
Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect
him, and Their Highnesses Sheikhs, members of the Supreme Council of the Federation, rulers. The
Emirates, the people of the Emirates, and everyone who lives on its land, on this precious national
occasion, His Highness stressed that Flag Day is an opportunity to express unity of ranks and renew
resolve for the advancement of the Emirates and to contribute effectively to building its renaissance and
maintaining its position.
