to designate the third day of November of each year to celebrate the flag of the UAE.

His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed said: “On Flag Day, we all stand united behind the
nation’s flag that has reached the ambitions of its children into space, determined to continue what the
founding fathers and grandfathers started. We draw inspiration from them in the spirit of challenge and
determination to continue the blessed march of the Union and achieve more achievements.” With the

a prosperous future in which future generations will enjoy more means of sophistication, pride and
dignity.”

His Highness added: “Every day that the flag of the UAE flies high in all its parts, it constitutes a symbol
of the aspirations of its people, and evidence of the will and determination to complete the process of
union and the unity of the home, visions and purpose, so that the UAE flag remains a symbol of love and
harmony, a symbol of goodness and peace, and a source of hope wherever it goes.” In all corners of the

His Highness pointed out, during the celebration organized by the Watani Al-Emarat Foundation, that the
UAE flag has always crowned the UAE’s unprecedented achievements in all various fields of work,
praising the comprehensive renaissance that the UAE is witnessing, through which it has topped global
competitiveness indicators and government performance and quality standards, which He placed it
among the ranks of developed countries in many fields, explaining that all of this could not have been
achieved without a clear vision of wise leadership that spares no effort for the progress of its country
and the happiness of its people.

His Highness the First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance affirmed
that the UAE flag will remain a lofty symbol of the unity, strength and pride of the UAE, and the cohesion
of its people and their alignment behind its leadership, asking God Almighty to perpetuate in our dear
homeland and its loyal people the elements of stability, goodness and exaltation, to reach higher levels.
